Wade Hurst:

After a 25 year career in Aerospace, Aircraft and Alternative Energy, Hurst Engineering was sold. Following a few years of retirement the entrepreneurial spirit brought Mr. Hurst to the Madeira International Business Center in 1997.

A consultancy was formed that same year to help bring American companies to Madeira to take advantage of the IBC and IFTZ. Over the past six years close relationships have been formed with SDM, Tecnopolo, University and Management organizations have led to the creation of StringWave.

Christian Hochfilzer
CEO - NetConstructor, Inc. (Sales & Marketing)

In 1998, Mr. Hochfilzer co-founded and managed as CEO, Inspara, LLC to fulfill the needs of NetConstructor Networks and CarbonPixel Media (two firms also founded under his leadership in 1998). NetConstructor served as Inspara’s hosting and backend technology development division and CarbonPixel specialized in marketing and media development.

There is little debate over the effectiveness of Mr. Hochfilzer’s strong leadership abilities. Those who have worked most closely with him are quick to observe his attention to detail, his ability to make decisions on his feet, and his relentless pursuit of perfection. An acute focus on the end-user is the philosophy that governs every venture he leads. Inspara’s team has worked with some of the globe’s most prominent firms, such as AirPhotoUSA, Fox TV, Bakbone Software, Gateway Computer, Peregrine Systems, Postal Annex, and Qualcomm.

Thomas J. Fanale
Director, Site Development Services

Mr. Fanale brings 25 years of experience in the telecommunications, commercial, residential, and industrial construction industries. His extensive working knowledge and diverse background encompasses engineering, quality assurance, project management, as well as site development. Prior to Beacon International, Mr. Fanale was responsible for the design, management, engineering, and quality assurance of the San Diego Sprint PCS Wireless Network as well as the development, design, management, and engineering of Air Touch Cellular (now Verizon Wireless) Riverside and San Diego County projects. In addition, Mr. Fanale has been responsible for the successful completion and implementation of wireless telecommunication projects in Mexico for Pegaso, as well as Qwest, Williams Communications, and ELI in Northern California. Mr. Fanale holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Economics and Accounting from Santa Barbara City College, as well as a California Real Estate License and California General Contractors License. He has been certified with OSHA, is a Charter Inspector Associate of ADA Certification Institute, and is certified in Hazardous Material Training.

Mark Majernik
Director, RF Engineering Services

Mark Majernik has an engineering master’s degree from Stanford University and over 8 years of experience in telecommunications. In addition to an exceptional project management record, Mark is also skilled at vendor management, product development, customer support, contract management, technical litigation support, process design, documentation and training creation, field testing, and network operations and management. Mark has led technical sales projects and wireless infrastructure deployments in Argentina and Malaysia for AT&T. Furthermore, Mark has been integral in leading wireless projects for many large companies including Sprint PCS and Lucent Technologies.
